How many times are you going to say “I quit” only to fall back into your same old habits of drinking, smoking and doing drugs once again?

I know so many people that are having a really hard time trying to kick these habits, just like I once did.

It’s not your fault that AA doesn’t resonate with you, that you don’t have money or time to go to rehab, that you just want a quick fix and believe that it must be possible somewhere out there.

That’s where recovery begins: with the belief that a method is out there for you. One size doesn’t fit all when beating addiction, except finding the right mindset.

I’m certain everyone who develops the mindset I had when I quit smoking, drinking and doing drugs all at the same time, will quit too. Recovery can happen with ease, excitement, little suffering and almost no cravings.

It’s truly magical when you can get yourself in the right mindset and all those years of suffering and conscious efforts to quit suddenly seem so far away.

I know what it feels like to fail time and time again to quit my addictions. Then I woke up one day and the suffering was FINALLY all over.

Here are some steps you can start today to move towards a life of freedom from your addictions:

1) Treat addiction like a bad habit and recovery as a simple lifestyle change.

You are not doomed to be a loser or a curb-side, homeless alcoholic with a brown paper bag over his bottle, downing it with shaking hands. And you’re certainly not doomed to be labeled as an addict for the rest of your life, even after you recover.

You’re not doomed to have cravings for the rest of your life either.

Sometimes you will think of abusing substances after you quit, of course. They were once a huge part of your life. But when you create a lifestyle change where drugs and alcohol are not included, you are able to focus on making other super amazing changes and accomplish bigger goals.
