How I Turned One Of The Worst Times in History Into a Period of Tremendous Self-Growth

The Covid-19 pandemic has been one of the best times in my life. It’s when I got sober, started a writing business, began sticking to my goals and values and got into an actual healthy relationship. Of course, like everybody else, it wasn’t always like that. Life had to get worse before it got better.

The pandemic wasn’t just one of the worst times in global history, but it started out as the darkest time in my life as well.

My initial response to the lockdown

Just over a year ago, 3 weeks before our first Covid-19 lockdown, I had just taken my first step towards bettering my future by taking a class in office administration which would land me a job. I thought 2020 was going to be my year but instead the pandemic threw that idea in my face. I had to finish school online and job searching and interviews got delayed. I’m glad that happened because I decided later to take a different career path.
